i work with a jehovah who will only work 2 days a week even though he has regularly been offered full time work. I know he has no other income and has no contact with his family. His monthly rent must exceed what he earns, was just wondering how he manages considering jehovas dont claim benefits.

why don't you just ask him - you have already discovered he has no other income or contact with his family so he is obviously happy to be very open with you?
No he is not open with me, told me these things in general conversation. He doesnt talk about religion what so ever.
I believe they are allowed one vice each. Maybe his is extortion.
personal choice to work 2 days a week,knew a chap who was a jehovah and worked full-time,dare I suggest your work friend is a lazy git ?
He works at BarCap and reports 2 days a week for small values of 2, but it's 7 really.
They never bother me. I'm in the Witness Protection Scheme
