Tough one. I'll go for Johnny Was - Stiff Little Fingers. I still have a punk cd that I listen to in the car, mostly comprising of Sham 69, The Clash & The Buzz****. The early Buzz**** songs sung by Howard Devoto were superb. I also have a Crass CD in my car when I fancy listening to something really alternative.

Yeah - Wattie Buchan is a complete t00l but that song has real menace to it. Was used very effectively in 'Made in England' starring Tim Roth

The Subhumans have always been my favourite punk group. I couldn't name just one song as a favourite though.
A few of the mentioned bands are playing at Bath Racecourse this weekend - see below. It looks a good weekend but I can't go as I am taking the family up to London to watch the flotilla!!! Oh how times change

Stow_judge 30 May 12 14:45 The song(s) with that mad woman in the Crass make me laugh
Crass were a band to be avoided, they were dangerously uncool & earnest
Do you mean Poison Girls - Persons Unknown? It is different and very good ( I found out a few years ago when I actually listened to it without, as George Michael would say, prejudice.
Boredom by the Buzzc0cks I think deserves a mention

Just in case anybody saw my earlier post about the punk weekend at Bath Racecourse and thought they might go - its been cancelled!
It seems that Bath council thought a punk weekender on jubilee weekend wouldn't look good for them
