as someone who has read a little bit about information theory, i declare that all the atoms in the universe are a message that is encrypted, and is a message to the supreme being. i shall wait for an answer.

If God exists, then he I'm pretty sure that He would understand every language - even those that are the constructs of one person. If He's there, I'd think that thoughts were enough.
By the way, watch Sunshine, directed by Danny Boyle. The bigger the TV, the better - watch it in complete darkness, without distractions. On a similar theme, you could do worse than watch The Thin Red Line
Both, regularly get panned, but not by people asking the sort of question in your thread opener. They are both slightly difficult watches, but worthwhile.

I'm going to sleep now, some of us have to be up for work in the morning. All at sea's assertion is beautifully backed up. In Matthew 6:34 we learn that Jesus wouldn't have worried today about getting up for work tomorrow. Especially if it was to earn some coin. 'Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself.'

Never even heard that one. Have read it once though. Foolishly read the Bible, start to finish, when I was a teenager. Complete waste of time.
20 pages of boring garbage for every worthwhile paragraph.

Does God speak to followers of non Christian religions?
Sunset can perhaps attempt this one. Will have to wait until he finishes his day of work though.

I always remember years ago some fat Texan being interview about the possibility of all teaching being conducted in Spanish in some American schools. He was outraged; after all even the bible was written in English.

God speaks - always - for those who wish to hear. He speaks when I study a sea horse. He also speaks the language of love! He communicates through birdsong, through the beauty of the single lily, and the sound of waves crashing onto the rocky shore.

God speaks - always - for those who wish to hear. The corrolary of Tony Broke's assertion is that for those who don't wish to hear, for functional purposes God doesn't speak. But those who do hear God is omnipotent, so it would be easy to get around that. And God created those who don't wish to hear. So he is mischievous and not therefore 100% good, which is counter to the supposition that a God ( an omnipotent being who is 100% good ) exists. All at sea is correct. QED. Problem officially solved by betfair chit-chat imv.

Yep, just as he apparently spoke to Tony Blair, who then took God's advice and went and sanctioned the death of over 100,000 people.
