King of leon - youth and young manhood.

Their first and best by a long way.

Have to agree with OD on this one. Bat out of Hell was immense. Not a bad track on the album. Bat 2 was very good as well, bar a couple of dodgy tracks.

As for Queen. First one was great, but I preferred Greatest Hits 2. Only semi weak track on that was The Invisible Man.

I often wish Meat Loaf would retire gracefully. He was immense at his peak. Not many finer rock and roller's than him. However, he has sadly become a comedic parody of his former self, trying to kick on, but not realising that his body just cannot cope any more. With all this health problems, he should maybe lead a quieter life. But I suppose that life is just not rock and roll enough for him. Would probably make him happy to go out on a stage belting out Bat out of hell.

It was released in 1998 and is called Gravelands ( as all or some of the artists are dead) By The King. The King is  or was a Belfast Postman called Jim Brown ( James Brown, get down) a s hit hot Elvis impersonator. Before you give me any grief , listen to some of it . Earlier in the thread I mentioned Rattus Norvegicus as being the best album of all time and a few other Stranglophiles corrected me and said Black & White was superior.

I decided to revisit that album and as I'm getting a bit long in the tooth now, my tastes have changed, and one song on the B&W album I always used to miss out, has really grown on me since this thread started.

Rise Of The Robots...never one of my favourites in days gone by, but I've been blasting it out regularly over the last week or so.
