Hi all
Just inherited 20,000pounds and am looking for the best investment options.  Want to make it grow enough to build a house with in 10 years time.  Any suggestions ???

Cant put it as a deposit yet.  There is no house. I need to make it grow to about 80k in the next 10 years.  Its part of the retirement plan dont you know ?

Check out the footy forum, they laugh at folk who can't make  a grand a week from a 100 starting bank.

Isn't 20k to 80k in ten years about 15% interest?

In my opinion, you'd need to either

1. Get very lucky with an investment, or
2. Invest very actively in something (eg gambling) and do it very well.

yep you need high risk to make that kind of return

there's no kind of investment that'll do it for you

Trade banking stocks like the wind .. you have time on your side

you also have to spot opportunity as it arises as a lot will change over the next 10 years

buy into nuclear power & far out stuff Cool
