I have inherited a sky+box from someone. with no set up instructions etc.

Do I need a satelite dish to make it work/receive pictures etc?

I don't have one (or a Sky subscription, obviously).

All thoughts gratefully received.

thanks

No need for a dish. The millions of subscribers just have them to show off.

FWIW, I'm not interested in getting/paying for Sky. Just wanted to use the sky + box to record stuff from BBC1 etc.
