as a child i was subjected to his shyte pretentious music from which i haven't fully recovered, i have no comment until the legal proceedings against springsteen inc are concluded.

I don't have a favourite and have never bought any of his records but I did go and see him when he played at Wembley Stadium whenever that was and fair play he put on a brilliant show. I had to be dragged along but I was very glad I went in the end.

My 3 favourites in no particular order are:

Blinded By The Light
Because The Night

and the iconic biggest hit that never was - Born To Run.

All three great song and lyric writing.

I like the above track and some of his older music, I don't rate him as anything special

Bob Seger was far better and also many others IMO

Always loved 'Nebraska' for years, but generally gave the rest a miss.

That is, until converted on a balmy June night at Glastonbury a couple of years ago.
He came on and whispered his way through Strummer's 'Coma Girl' (the perfect Glasto-homage song)
to bemused WTF-looks from the generally young audience around us....

...but I knew

I used to buy almost any springsteen related album, including about 5 bootlegs from concerts and rejected material...he does re-use lines a lot :-). I even got the Gary US Bonds albums and the Asbury Jukes one. And Nils Lofgren's debut album. It's all good..even the stuff that never made it to release. I have favourite album, just favourites for different circumstances. Darkness on the Edge of Town probably had the most plays.

Poor man wanna be rich, rich man wanna be king, and a king ain't satisfied till he rules everything, well I wanna go out tonight, gonna find out what I got.
