1 bed flat not decorated or re-carpetted for 10 years, no hassle tennant moving out, is it reasonable to expect the flat to be re-decorated and carpetted without the tennant contributing (wine stains on small area of carpet and adjoining wall)?

I have a strict "no red wine" clause on my tenancy agreements.
also no tea, no coffee. that way I don't have to use my "mormons only" sign.
I hope you aren't about to realise how valuable and rare no hassle tenants are. I certainly miss mine.

I've been renting this place out for about 8 years and it's on its 5th doorbell now. There's never been a broken window or a busted chair but the doorbells, the doorbells, mein got they're fragile.
not nocking knockers but you can't beat a shiny bell.

it's a mental battle that's raged for centuries so i don't think we can solve it here, i don't pretend to understand the knocker mentality but i respect your right to adorn your front door in the manner you see fit.
