The cat that became famous around the world after interrupting Liverpool's match against Tottenham has been put up for adoption.
Originally nicknamed 'Kenny' by fans,  the cat has been renamed 'Shankly' after another legendary Reds manager and is currently staying at the Freshfield Animal Rescue centre near Formby. "He is an absolute gentleman," Katherine Gibbs, an assistant at the cattery, told ClickLiverpool.com, before adding that he will have to recuperate from a few injuries before he goes to live with a new owner.
