John Cleese

will be sadly missed ...

I have always thought the same of John Thaw
When he was playing Jack Regan in the Sweeney, he was
only in his early to mid 30's
And when he played Chief Inspector Morse; you would swear blind in the first episode
he was a man comfortably into his mid 50's, when he was only 45

By all accounts, Cleese is an odious chap.

One of the females in our office genuinely thought that Dara O Briain had Down's Syndrome.

Stayed in a Torquay hotel while filming Monty Python which was so bad all the others moved out,
but Cleese couldn't believe how bad the manager was, so he stayed for a laugh.....
and the idea for Fawlty Towers came from that.

I thought Cleese's father or grandfather was originally called Cheese.  On another note did anyone realise that Joan Collins is actually only 75 years old?

Sadly the hotel is now gone. Demolished a couple of months ago
