If one is discovered naked in the wardrobe I always like to claim the old "I'm trying to catch the moths" trick.
The usual response is "what moths?" Whereupon you look down and exclaim "oooh, the little bástards!" |

I've deducted a point because it took me a full 24 hours to get the joke. |

Have I understood this correctly? Ken Masters has turned out to be Lee Mack's user name on here?

By:
alternatively you could have been looking for a lion and a witch.

I have another joke in a similar vein. The original was in French, but I'll translate it for you all.
Mme Bertillon sends her husband to buy some fresh escargot for dinner from the market. On the way home he meets a mate who persuades him to stop for a quick drink. Several hours later a very píssed M. Bertillon rolls up at his front door, trips over the step and drops all the snails on the floor. Hearing the commotion his wife appears on the scene. "Where the hell have you been?" she rants. Despite his inebriated state, hubby points at their supper scattered across the lawn and shouts "come on lads, we're nearly there." |
