One of our greatest sports presenters and broadcasters seems to have disapeared off the radar in recent years.
I know old Des is 68 now and most likely enjoying a semi retirement but would be great to see him back occasionally in some capacity on the sports.Though sadly BBC and ITV have little these days and i guess Des is too old for their World/Euro football presenting.
Last i saw him was on Sports Mastermind where to be fair he didn't look like he was enjoying it,the eyes were dead,no sparkle.
One of the old school who made it all look so easy and had a great wit as well, you just knew he was loving the job.I know he had a thing with a tranny years ago but lets not let that soil the image of the old silver fox.
Anyone know if the old lounge lizard is still working?
Old Frank was also class, but never really recovered from freely admitting to dressing up in ladies underwear and getting off his t1ts on coke while being thrashed off expensive dominitrix's(suprised the modern day bbc don't welcome that sort of behaviour tbh)Always seemed quite "old" though he must be 80 by now.
Used to like Steve Ryder as well, granted he was no Des or Boughy but very knowledgable and a good safe pair of hands.

Always thought Bob Wilson was a terrible broadcaster to be fair, not sure if it's true but i believe he came in to complete a broadcast after just hearing his daughter had died of cancer so respect to the old fella.Supposedly devastated him (and understandably so)and retired early from tv work.
I'm sure his son in law died after eating a corn beef sarnie a few weeks ago as well, seemed to be all over the papers.

Bob Wilson is currently cycling from each premier league ground to the next for charity. Started at Fulham, will finish in Newcastle.
Des Lynam does a column in the Telegraph.

Bob Wilson an absolute gent. One of the few broadcasters I've never heard anyone have a bad word to say about. Lynam not far behind, hard in these days to be a celebrity and not be accused of some failing, but as far as I'm aware they're both without reproach.

Richard Keys and Andy Gray won't be missed by viewers of Sky Sports
I had always wondered why Richard Keys had continued for 20 years to be the main presenter of football on Sky.
He was certainly competent, disdaining the use of a teleprompter and making very few mistakes, but I thought he lacked the charm and that indefinable quality of likeability

Charges were dropped. Was in days before interent so can be half forgiven, was 64 at time so fair play
Sinstadt caught w@nking in a porn cinema in 1994.Charges were dropped. Was in days before interent so can be half forgiven, was 64 at time so fair play
Old Gerry Sinstadt still working i think, you hear his commentary every now and then.Bit unlucky that in his prime he was up against the likes of Brian Moore and a young Motty so never got a look in in the big games but a great commentator nonetheless.
As mentioned caught w@nking in a porn cinema, but hell what were people supposed to do in those days!
