It is Tober, tried it on IE & Chrome. No use on either, it never loads properly.

I'd have had Nirvana for breakfast tonight too. Laugh

Not sure about the Leagues, seems like a bit of a nightmare trying to get all the old competitors back.

Chipshop, I've set up a Java chat function in the last few days which you can find at

http://betfairforum.weebly.com/chit-chat-java.html

You will however need Java, a widely respected bit of a software mostly used for online games.

http://www.java.com/en/download/

As for issues with random booting/not being able to get in, I've contacted mibbit about this in general, and the likely problem is your internet service provider or firewall settings.

Doubt it, the lag issue is very problematic, especially in a 1v1 situation, arguments about who was first in would be plentiful. With a crowd in however, everyone can see the right order there or thereabouts.

Not a problem, most welcome.

Dan, you can also try adding an S onto the http address so...

You might get a security warning, but this method is also suggested by the good people of mibbit.

As I will tonight's quiz by Mr Nibbs at 10pm.

About that, it's come to my attention tonights format is flagrantly open to abuse and cheating, so it's binned.

Fear not, we'll play Snakes and Ladders instead. First to land on 100 wins, using this board http://i33.tinypic.com/ih7jmc.jpg

Don't see that would be a problem as people would just accept it as they do in the regular quizzes.

Leagues are a much more serious gig and every question counts. Perhaps I'm being too hard on the league players. Giving it some thought, the following method might be a little less litigious.

Question is asked.

10 second delay. Players type out there answer (but not press enter).

After 10 seconds, answers are declared 'open'.

(answers are given)

5 seconds later answers are declared 'closed'.

That would take the fff element out of it though, I'm not sure if that is desired or not. Anyway it isn't really for me to decide these things, although I pledge any technical assistance should the committee/whoever is in charge would like to explore the chatroom avenue. Whether it be through a site of their own or the room(s) at the moment.
