Where is Andy Murray? Anyone seen him? I've got a Champ League match to play against him.

No, I suggested it. I'd only recommend it if I had personal experience with and knew it was the mutt's nuts.

I have just realised though that I forgot to ask what resolution your monitor was capable of, which could mean the card I put forward wasn't capable of running your monitor at max resolution.

haha ok

That is genuinely surprising to me. Can you ttt the thread or post up the model name and I'll see if I can find anything out about it? I wouldn't have thought it would be worse in that regard than your previous card, so it seems odd.

Did you install the software that came with it? I'm wondering if there's some clever accelerations that can be turned on for it.

yeah that's what i was thinking re the installer stuff cos i didn't have to use the disc to get it working. but pc has been playing up since i replaced it and had to reinstall windows and other stuff and not sure if it the card installed properly. the card is

Realistic gaming for less
The GeForce 9400 GT GPU has a 2x performance increase over the comparable 8 series graphics card, allowing you to play the latest PC games without costing you a bundle. So now you can enjoy popular gaming titles the way they were meant to be played.

seems odd!

i'll try to download a driver from the net

Should be your driver download, if you're on XP 32 bit

The alternative is you could complain to scan that the cd doesn't work and see if you can get them to send you another one, however the one from th net will be more up to date.

good stuff. I could imagine that card not being enough for major league gaming, and possibly hi-def playback (but it should probably have enough oomph for that given the HDMI output, would be cack if it had hdmi out but no hi def video capability :0), but for the things you wanted it for, I'd have been very surprised (from the specs) if it wasn't comfortably good enough.

You don't need to spend a lot on a video card these days for things other than gaming.

Anyway enjoy your smoothly scrolling p0rn ;)
