Very funny Stewarty!

For what it's worth - and this may  have nothing to do with your problems currently with your computer - I had a terrible time
with my computer using IE when Betfair made their disastrous decision to change things on May the 6th last year.

Fortunately, someone advised me to try Google Chrome as my browser and a lot of the problems stopped when I did.
I also use the 'classic' forum and the pop up.
This may not be a resolution to your woes, but something worth trying.

Just bin IE altogether - as when I open it still when using Betfair, the computer whirs like an old tugboat with a seagull stuck up its spinnaker and everything just grinds to a halt after about 20 minutes.

It takes minutes to download Chrome - and you can still save all your 'favourites' from IE if you follow the instructions:

Goodnight TDA

You're welcome, Stewarty. I'm as technically incompetent as you, it's only by others on here helping me out that I've managed to overcome problems.

* I'll give that a try tomorrow. mrs stew tried to install my new AOL router this evening, however, I didn't know my username and password, due to those numpties at AOL. She'll give it another go at the weekend. If that fails, I'll try your link. Thanks again.

If you're looking in winky, maybe she just tells you she loves you to keep the peace!  LaughHappy

Haha! No, really, Mrs W has lots of bunnies outside - about 5 (I think) - which Mr W has to attend to when she's at work.

As well as cut the grass, feed the birds, clean the windows, wash the car.

A belated goodnight Mr W.

Stewarty, I'm with Virgin - straight through the wall so none of this router palaver (or whatever it is). It costs  £21.50 a month, but I know there are far cheaper deals for new subscribers.

Cheers Tommy. I can't get Virgin in my area. Did you watch 'Our Henry' last light? I liked the bit wher Ali was interviewed and asked, 'what will you remember about Henry Cooper'? Ali's reply......' He had a hard punch!!)Laugh

It's a shame you can't get Virgin in your area yet Stewarty. I've had hardly a blink of trouble with them since NTL first plugged
me in through the wall some 7 years ago!

I did see the tribute to 'Our 'enry' on Sunday. The programme is repeated on Tuesday night on BBC2 at 11:20pm and I'll be watching it again then too.
I liked when they interviewed Brian London and he said "Oh yes, Henry could hit hard. Just look at my nose."

Tommy, no doubt you saw 'cinderella man' afterwards, or gave it a miss as you've probaly seen it before. A really good film, but not a patch on Raging Bull IMHO.

Anyways, goodnight all.

PS I get the feeling mr w is panicing if I happen to get the 10'000 'look in'   [smiley:crazy][smiley:crazy]

I did half watch Cinderella Man too, after seeing it a few times (and enjoying it immensely) before, Stewarty, as well as watching  another boxing film: The Set-Up (which I'd seen once before) which was on later.
A very good night for boxing on the Beeb.

Goodnight you old Raging Bull 'best film ever' film (as well as me) fan you!

It's not a 'great' film, Mr W, but a very adequate one of the dark side of journeyman boxers, especially in the States in the 1940s, I'd presume.
