I can report find the rag got banned. He had a habit of getting in squabbles.

Alive and well last time I heard from him tho :)

Thanks for the updates. Babydoll was a lovely girl. Visited her when over on Marbella a couple of years back. Long blonde hair down her back. None on her head, just down her back.

You see sdk, while you were spending hours chatting on here, I was taking her out for a drink. -:)

Anyone remember waynecoyne. Used to post late at night and was lyrical about the likes of Johnny Cash. Mate of purdey's if memory serves.

Thanks cannyman and squares for remembering me.

Apologies for the sudden exit, but was away for a while and on my return found my enthusiasm for the forum and most (but not all) of its participants had all but disappeared and I had to take some time to sort out domestic matters anyway. And before you know it, three months have passed !! Happily on the verge of moving to Ireland for a quiet life of golf and Guinness, and the occasional disciplined foray on here. Will undoubtedly re-surface in relaxed mode when settled.

And yes, I did make one single contribution about 2 weeks ago, offering Delta Goodrem as an answer to "name a singer with an airline in their name". Accurate, but not funny...so clearly not ready for a return just yet !!

And hello to alun2005, roger and roanman if you're watching....

The old chestnut of ,"His like will never pass this way again," never truer. Another Racing Character gone - he had been missed for some time - racing needs more characters like him but regretfully they are a dying breed in this sanitised PC world we live in now

Appears he may be back, sounds like him.

Good to hear from you YT - easy to remember those with similar taste in music/similar era to me! Where in Ireland are you off to (and when)? Might not be too quiet if you are too close to thegroutch!

Best of luck with it anyway.

Hello YT, good to see you again. You were also mentioned on a similar thread on horse racing only a couple of days back.

Check out youtube. A few new Bill Nelson clips added since I started the thread a few months back.

Hello again Yorkshire Terrier - pleased to know that you're alive and well.

I was beginning to think that you had fallen into a coma from listening to the execrable 'Sportsweek with Gary Richardson', and were still awaiting a Princess Charming to awake you from your slumber...

Other missing forumites.... Bobby Peru (DOND Hall of Famer) and Berminn (from the really old days).

Hi Poppydog, I used to enjoy a chat with Waynecoyne, as I said ususally late evening/early morning when we were well fortified. He had a very sophisticated musical taste. He's back under another name according to a post on this thread. Never quite worked out how people sussed out new identities, apart from the odd exception like Bert.

I don't believe in new identies, C

Squares and Thomas2 have seperate and individual scores on my intermittent quiz 'league' and will forever do so.

Anyone could claim to be anyone!

Here's a Lady P quote that made me smile once, for those that miss her...

On a thread about Digital Cameras (?)

I didn't mind Lady Penelope. Fell out with her big time though when she abandoned the cat miles from anywhere just because it had been pooing in her garden.

alun - funnily enough, I stopped listening to Scoop and Sideshow Hack about the same time as my sudden disappearance from this forum (it may have also been a reaction to the accusation that we were one and the same person after a particular Sportsweek critique !!). And without sounding like Tony Robbins, I have to say its been a cathartic experience and I can't say my life has suffered as a result.

I knew when being drawn into a slanging match with Bedsit Boy that things had to change....

And sadly no sign of Princess Charming, but anticipating meeting a dark haired Finola or Mairead in the near future.

YT : we might yet be the same person, because I also stopped listening to Richardson a few months back !

If you are indeed actually me, for god's sake remember to get the car serviced and MOTd in March if I don't hear from you again.

Not a great one for reunions, but the 30 year anniversary tour would have been an exception...

Madsimon, good call. I nearly got round to having a drink with him when he was at Bradford University. It's funny how you forget about people when they're not around anymore. Same in real life.
