...Having read this thread fpor the first time today ...it is indeed a noble thread in a Samurai type of way ...
...The olde medieval waye of "dealing" with obnoxious creeps ...a metal gauntlet slapped across their chops followed by a bout in the arena with sword or lance ..soon sorted the wheat from the chaff ... Henry VIII eventually succumberd to an old jousting injury ...An old lance wound in his leg started swelling up with puss and yellow custard ...eventually he passed away from it ...NOT so noble I admit ...his leg bursting and exploding as it did and showering his physicians and attenders and close family in a yellow gooey putrid smelling puss like mess ...but very NOBLE none the less ... |

It's funny because of Tonymanta's wish to rid the world of evil-doers. There is a child-like naivity in Tony's ramblings, a Messiah-like tone to his words--yet the man can't spell or construct a sentence for love nor money. That's funny in itself. The characters of Bodil and The Black Widow are also funny, because they act as the perfect foil for Tony. The Black Widow whimsically thinks Tony has come to save her on some magical white charger, whereas Bodil thinks Tony's some kind of modern day Giles de Retz, a disgusting character from French history who had a penchant for setting fire to young boys. All in all, a very amusing thread, considering the time of day it was written. |
