still around, I never see it.

Colt 45 is a brand of beer (or malt liquor) introduced by National Brewing Company in the spring of 1963. Through a series of mergers and acquisitions, the National Brewing Company and its brands (including Colt 45) are today owned by the Pabst Brewing Company.

Colt 45 is available today in a multitude of packages and sizes. Cans are available in 12, 16 and 24 ounce packages and bottles are available in 7, 12, 16, 18, 22, 32 and 40 ounce packages. Cans are available in multi-packs including: 12, 15, 18, 24, 30 packs of 12 ounce cans.

Wasnt Colt 45 advertised by Cliff Clavin (John Ratzenbeg) or am I getting confused?

Or was that Rolling Rock (now I think of it was that Leslie Nielsen "its not red and theres no rocks in it!") - I love arguing with myself cos I am full of shhit and its easy to beat myself in an argument

all help gratefully received

Colt 45 was a very nice drink brewed especially for the can...can't remember the last time I saw it but it don't seem that long ago(year or two)..think it was around 4.5--5%

When first intoduced to the UK market it was heavily discounted to win a share of the market - had a good flavour as I recall but things went downhill when they started brewing under licence here in the UK. Same happened with Fosters Lager.

Bought it in the USA for 99 cents a quart. Malt Liquor on a shoestring budget.

similar taste to breaker if anyone can remember it
Report shame about ray March 31, 2010 9:33 AM BST
I remember Breaker, was a gay drink in the late 80s. Walked into a gay bar in Liverpool and they were all drinking Breaker out the can. When i asked why the barman said because of aids (it was quite new then) nobody would drink out of glasses.

I remember drinking Colt 45 and Breaker in my student days - remember Colt 45 as being particularly nice.

Another favourite back then was Slalom D - a really thick, treacly lager - anyone know if that is still available anywhere?

Colt 45, Double Diamond, Worthington E, Watneys Red Barrel, Party Sevens.

Ah, the memories of youth.

It was made by Greenhall's and was even worse than their bitter.

LOVE AND A COLT 45

"Hello, my names Beth and Ive got a story to tell...When I was a teenager I used to drink Colt 45 lager it was the cause of most of my stupid decisions......."

Any Tom, Jack or Walt, who loves the taste of malt, will get it in a COLT 45. That was the advert lyrics. :)

Colt 45s and Breakers, used to put ring pulls in jacket pocket, so you knew how many you had consumed the next day.
