By:
does very-valuable know where she is ?
By:
Im very surprised the police have said its almost certainly someone she knew that has abducted her.
She was walking through one of the worst areas of York ( i know i lived in York for 40 years ) in the dark and she had set a pattern by doing it for a couple of weeks while her car was off the road. The police say we dont get this kind of crime in York. Well Britain and York has changed in the last 10-15 years. |
By:
That#'s right it was the Lancashire ripper wasn't it? ...
By:
Have they fixed a time for her abduction then?
And yes, thread starter, explain your comments, or admit you're just**ging off a missing person for whatever sick reason motivates you. |
By:
Rumour has it she put it about a bit. But with her father being well to do and from a churh going background, that doesn't come out in the media or seem relevant. I'm not sure if the rumour is true as I don't know the girl.
By:
Then why pass it on?
By:
"...that doesn't come out in the media or seem relevant"
So why repeat it here? Ffs. |
By:
Maybe I think its more important to find the lass, than to protect the reputation of the family. But maybe that's just me. Any and all info can be important.
By:
Yes I'm sure rumour repeated on a gaming site forum will reach the parts Crimewatch couldn't reach.
Mostly I try to stay patient with the imbeciles on here, but this is a young woman's life for Christ's sake. If you have useful information go to the police, if not leave her and her reputation alone. |
By:
Ah, so you're trying to find her, and you think the rumour you've heard may be the key! Most importantly then, who told you this?
By:
?
By:
I am as entitled to my comments as you are. But don't wish to cause offense so will leave this thread alone from now on and appologise if I have offended anyone.
By:
How about apologising for spreading malicious rumours about a missing girl?
By:
Of course you're entitled Pete, but following the disappearance of Suzy Lamplugh, similar rumours did the rounds. It hurt the family at a time when they needed support and was pretty much unfounded. I think it's reasonable to expect people to engage brain before commenting on an issue where in all likelihood harm has come to a young woman.
By:
have we received further clarification on this subject, pleeze?
By:
Ive seen police spokesman on tv many times and the crimewatch programme. They really havent commentated on her love life other than she has had boyfriends but hasnt got one at the moment. As the police have stated that they think she knew the person responsible for her disappearance you would think they would be giving out much more details about her relationships with men.
But as someone said maybe shes known rather a lot. |
By:
But there's no reason to think that.
By:
sparkmaster , i think there is. If she had had only serious relationships with men and no one night stands etc. im sure the police would have said so.
By:
The police rarely comment on the details private lives of people who go missing, whether essentially monogamous or otherwise.
By:
why? it's not normal procedure to do so?
By:
in what way is any of this relevant?
By:
I don't think any of it is Flea, other than possibly to the odd armchair Columbo.
By:
The police should have said she was walking through what is probably the biggest housing estate in York in the dark. If you had asked me before this case where i wouldnt want to be walking in the dark in York i would have said Tang Hall.
The police only said this kind of thing doesnt happen in York. If they werent so frightened of upsetting people it might help imo. |
By:
Is that part of york very bad?
By:
alas, poor Yorrick
By:
She's an attractive young woman of course she'll have an active and possibly varied sex life.
Quite how that affects the circs surrounding her dissapearnce is beyond me.I'm sure its possible she met someone she knew and came to harm that way but from what i can see looks like the police have drawn a total blank. You cna see why people think there maybe something "misisng" though with a woman walking to work at 5am in the pitch dark through a rough estate.I guess soem kind of loon could see that as an easy target or think she's a brass or something. |
