In Sickness and in health/til death us do part. They don't even show the replays. It is one of the best sitcoms ever. We all know why they don't show it, and i'm not beating the "PC gone mad" drum or anything, but it does p.ss me off that we are not allowed to make up our own minds as to whether we want to watch it or not.

Been watching the re runs of "When the boat comes in" on Yesterday.
Great prog, but on reflection a remake would be a disaster as Ant and fecking Dec would probably get involved.

No TV shows should be brought back.
Just because they were good back in the day doesn't mean they will be now. A lot of classic shows have been revived , all those i can think of were dreadful: Minder,Auf Wiedhersen Pet, spring to mind.
If if it was possible for them to still be as good as first time around then they wouldn't have stopped in the first place.

Early Doors. Only 2 series in that and its recent so the writers are still alive.
Genuinely could do another series ,but, in saying that, if the writers thought they had another 8 funny episodes in them, then they'd have done them already.

i said early doors myself brodie, then i got thinking, the two lads who wrote it also wrote the recent royle family episodes, and they were truly awful, so if early doors was going to sink to that standard we're probably better off leaving it in tact, as there wasn't a bad episode.
think Caroline Ahern was involved in the Royale Family and not in Early Doors though? The RF was more her baby? But you are right ,leaving it now can keep it unsoiled a la Fawlty Towers ;)
i just can't believe it's not more popular, i bring it up on this forum every now and then, it's one of the most enjoyable shows ever, straight away you warm to every character.
love to know what phil and nige would be like in series 3 of early doors :)

Just a few episodes made. Looks a bit like the forerunner for Only Fools & Horses although it was written by someone different.
I read somewhere that David Jason has blocked it ever being repeated but no way of knowing if that is true...

Going Out
Going Out was a six part, drama series written by Phil Redmond (Grange Hill, Brookside etc) and produced by the ex-ITV franchise, Southern Television. The series followed the first six weeks after Sean, Roger Sammy, Cathy and Gerry were released from school and onto Thatcher’s scrap heap. Along with Dikey, who'd already been drawing his Giro for a year, they tried to avoid the nutter Arty 'Haggis' Jackson and his 'crew'. This wonderful and fondly remembered coming of age series is presented here in all it's six episodes, complete and uncut.
Rare opportunity to see this classic but hard to find 80s series.
Be interested to see if this is uncut, because I reckon there is at least one scene, in Dominoe records in the now pulled down Tricorn which I'm pretty sure wouldn't be acceptable now.

You might remember Prospests a ch4 production about the same time i think was also good.. There was a night club at the Tricorn called Grannies if you couldn't pull in there you were in the wrong game
