Reason for asking is that i called to see my G.P. this morning and he and I were unable to agree on this, we were however in agreement on the number of heart(s), kidney(s), liver(s) and lung(s), one should have.

well you can get a groin strain in 2 places, so my vote is for 2

As you can have a strain to either your left groin area or right groin area - the answer is 2. Obviously !

The human only has 1 groin.

I hope this clarifies the matter.

......In your lowermost abdomen, the area where your thigh joins with your trunk, on either side of the pelvic area. ...

1 trunk, two thighs = 2 groin areas ...thank you

I'm firmly in the one groin camp here:

This is how it went at the doctors.....

GP Good morning
Me Good morning
GP How can I help you?
Me I have an infection in my groin
GP Is it affecting both groins?
Me (slightly puzzled) No just mine
GP But are both your groins effected?
Me I only have one groin
GP (supressing a laugh) I can assure you that you have 2 groins young (I'm 42) man, otherwise you wouldn't be able to stand, anyway please remove your trousers.

To repeat, the groin is the part where the thigh joins the trunk. Therefore 2 groins. Wise up !

My favourite word in this thread title is 'healthy'. I've a bit of a snuffle at the minute, but upon inspection my groin quotient remains unchanged.

In human anatomy, the groin areas are the two creases at the junction of the torso with the legs,[1] on either side of the pubic area.[2] A pulled groin muscle usually refers to a painful injury sustained by straining the hip adduction muscles.[3]

Therefore you agree - the answer is 2
