Never mind snowdrops or cuckoos; the first sign of spring here in Somerset will be when the postman finally makes his first delivery of the year.

We were told on Tuesday by our manager that it was up to us if we wanted to go out in the snow or not. But the last couple of days we've been told to go out, but if you feel it is too dangerous then come back and bring the mail back.

Only a matter of time before the Royal Mail is wound up IMHO
Report ROCKIN HORSE • January 7, 2010 5:14 PM GMT
Do you get paid if you say its too difficult to work in the conditions?
Report Ovalman. • January 7, 2010 5:22 PM GMT
Some in, some out, that's enough reason to call a strike.

Go for it boys.

Inspirational leadership!

What is the guideline for how far you should go before deciding whether it is too dangerous or not?

Nothing to do with leadership, it is all down to Health and Safety.
They are just covering their own backs in case you have a bad accident.
