I don't consider myself a 'bleeding heart liberal' however I think shooting shoplifters is a bit excessive
You thought whiplash claims were reaching ridiculous levels...they'd soon have this milked,lifetime back injuries slipping over in forced labour,the european parliament and human rights organizations would have a field day,My dad tells me the unemployed in the 50/60s were put on snow clearing duties in city centres (mandatory he reckons or dole stopped) with a bit of extra money on your dole,cant see it myself can anyone remember if this was so?
Quite correct remember em well cleaning our town centre,also all the tradesmen brickies etc who worked for the council got roped in too,the dolies got ten bob extra[50p]

In oxford the rubbish men have been clearing the pavements etc ..
They can clear out a supermarket of gillette mach 3's and AA batteries in minutes
Chain Gangs or National Service....Give 'em a choice.
OR HOODIES -- Yes I'm ALL FOR THEM USING THEIR KNIVES TO CLEAR THE ICE OFF THE PAVEMENTS .
Feel sorry for hoodies,they have been wearing their hoods even right through summer,they will feel no benefit now wearing them
