Farinas were sought after on the banger circuit cos of the rad on the side rather than in front.

Yes EGG its an Essex plate.
My mum bought the car new & bought a specialized number plate JCY 1 but two weeks after getting it we found the car had been scrapped before getting the plates so had to revert to the original OHV number, when I passed my test in 1978 my mum let me use the car & I bought it off her for next to nothing a few months later.

my first car was a 1.8 marina coupe, thought it was fast at the time, looking back it was garbage, always wanted a Lancia Beta coupe , never got one though , ended up with a Fiat Mirafiori. Would have loved a Fiat 124. Really love 70's/80's cars , suppose its just nostalga because they dont compare to the cars of today.

^ Blimey! 3 rust buckets in one post.

When was the last time you saw a car with a hole in it?

Used to be the norm!

Believe it or not the 71 Capri was an automatic, back then only about 1% of cars were not manual, I passed on a manual but I dont think in over 30 years I have driven one more than a dozen times.

When I had a MK 10 Jag, me and my mates used to share the cost of filling both tanks and go out cruising all night.

22 gallons came to about a tenner. :^0
