Hi Buffs.

Londis here....at last :-)

They have to show the APR by law. They wouldn't otherwise.

You're referring to loans which are supposed to be short term.

For example, if I lend you a tenner today and chage you a pound interest when you pay it back tomorrow, the APR would be huge.

However, for a short term cash loan, you'd probably think the pound charge would be reasonable.

Hello Londis love. Yes, I knew that, but it's just a shock when the apr is actually written there in front of you! I hope I'm never in a position to have to go down that route.

Bobby George will have your gold if you want

But of course a mortgage with an APR of only 6.5% over 30 years is fine.

Got their number to hand ?

Excellent seasider. Agree, if you want it, its there. Who is to say whether it is rediculous or not? Its a business that helps people that cant find the money any other way.

Is that worse than spending 300quid on a 'branded' suit, knowing it costs 20p to make in some dark forest in Bolivia?

its better than paying £25 to borrow £100 than it is to go overdrawn and get charged £63
also halifax charge £1 per day for being in an authorised overdraft, so imagine the APR on that if you are 1p overdrawn :0

I had an invitation from Nat West to take their Black Card, fantastic advantages with "free add-ons and benefits", come through in the post at the weekend.

51.6% apr SPLASHED ALL OVER IT.
