Hail now. I think this sort of hail is technically called graupel though (I know a bit about climatology/meterology).

Snowing heavily in Mid Sussex (9 miles north of Brighton).

Blackbarn.... you around Burgess Hill way? Heard it was quite bad out there earlier.

Snowing in mid sussex now. Just looked out the window, got a nice covering, maybe an inch or two. Looks sorta like rain now though so it might just be a mass slush fest come the morning... joy.

Anyone in Brighton? Any snow your way yet?

Yeh, snow in Brighton has turned to hail briefly.... apparently worst of the snow's supposed to come later in the night. Those in South Midlands, Oxfordshire, Berkshire, Surrey, Hants, Wilts, Bucks get it a bit earlier.

DarkDagger, I'm about a mile north of Buggers Hole, it's snowing yes, but not really bad yet. If it stays like this all night though then tomorrow is a non-event for people commuting.

Blackbarn.... Brighton & Hove council's gritting policy is awful as well. It's all very well concentrating on the main roads but when most of the residents live in the suburbs, often on some quite steep hills, it's not that much good for the majority.

Has it hit Brighton yet? A few forecasts I saw seemed to think Brighton would miss most of it.
