Thinly veiled "We earn £65K" thread.

3.5 x one salary plus 1 x the other salary is typical, other products are available, the value of your investment may go up or down.

that's from the 80s

Sorry if my reponse is not well received, but with good intentions :-
the question is not how much one can borrow - but how much one can afford to repay in the event of higher interest rates, higher inflation, higher taxes and moderate income growth - all assuming total job security of course.

well Ken, just go and meet the timelord

agreed Ivor

so in todays uncertain times would you go for fixed, tracker or another type of mortage ?

must admit its something i need to read up on !
Report Ivor • January 4, 2010 2:01 PM GMT
lol - don't ask me - I got stuffed by the Endowment Mortage plans and a large shortfall which had been promised as a juicy surplus 25-years earlier!

Thank you so much, Blackwell, for replying. You never to get to hear the end of some threads. We do no get any genuine threads any more, which is a pity as they are very interesting, especially for women :)

Does that mean the fat one ( hate to say that but I do not know her name ) is now the one you are going to buy with? What is the bit about Max and Paddy ?

Your thread was almost the first one I replied to, and got some grief from the men on here for sticking up for the schoolteacher. Yes, what she did was wrong, but who on here is perfect all the time? I liked the way you stood up for her as well.
