Report punterfleecer • January 3, 2010 6:16 PM GMT

Report punterfleecer • January 3, 2010 6:17 PM GMT
this was 3 years ago and according to my ex

there's only one resort or "campus" that sell alcohol in Egypt
Report Birchola • January 3, 2010 6:17 PM GMT
Sounds like you're better off staying at the Luxor in Vegas.
Report jimnast • January 3, 2010 6:24 PM GMT

Report punterfleecer • January 3, 2010 6:28 PM GMT

Report punterfleecer • January 3, 2010 6:28 PM GMT

Report jimnast • January 3, 2010 6:30 PM GMT

Suberb country long as you dont go to sharm el sheik which is just a concrete hellhole and as represenatative of egypt as say shortbread is of Scotland!

You can get booze all over but only certian hotels, your taxi driver WILL KNOW exactly where to go etc.Though in fairness it's not a drinking place really. There are of course no bars/clubs dotted about like you'd get in Spain or somewhere! Not really a country to go for for uk newspapers beer and net acces though you'd be better going to las americas imo.
Report jimnast • January 3, 2010 6:39 PM GMT
bonviv its not the end of the world a change will do me good,i can certainly survive without newspapers.
Report BonViv • January 3, 2010 6:41 PM GMT
You can get em though Jim no doubt about it in Cairo, and same day as well as they come in from spain where they are printed same day etc.May even be able to get broadsheets, early eve though.

oh this is important, you must agree a deal before going on a camel or else once you get on the camel, the guy will not let you off the camel and will charge you a high price, and it's extremely difficult to get off a camel

the guy will not ask you for a price until you are on the camel
Report 2smiggy • January 3, 2010 6:50 PM GMT
horrible country, sister went through work, and the locals would only talk to the fellow she was with even though she was a senior position to him. horrible race
Report Kenny47. • January 3, 2010 6:55 PM GMT
was at Sharm Nov 08 and was surprised how much i enjoyed it. Did'nt see Uk newspapers but internest easily accesiable. Local lager is called Sakara & hotels are 5 star.
Report jimnast • January 3, 2010 6:59 PM GMT
punter i wont be going on any camels ,did it in lanzarote and was ashamed of myself the momnt i got on the poor animal.
Report jimnast • January 3, 2010 7:00 PM GMT
kenny what of our lagers would you compare sakhara with if any ?
Report Corky • January 3, 2010 7:05 PM GMT
Only point of going to Egypt is to see the historical sites. A beach holiday at Sharm is at best pointless, loads of beach holidays at places with bars etc. At worst, some tourist WILL get blown up there sooner or later.
Report jimnast • January 3, 2010 7:06 PM GMT
christ corky i wished i had not asked the question now.
