Very stupid move by Islam4UK, there are plenty of anti-War marches attended by people of all races & faiths. By arranging their own one it just perpetuates a "them against us" feeling. Perhaps that's what they want.

I'm against the War(s) but I have maximum respect for soldiers and the job they do. My cousin has been to both Afghanistan and Iraq; he says he is against the war as are many of the soldiers but they are professionals and they just get on with their job. It is not a soldier's job to decide which wars are just/unjust, once he signs up he goes wherever he is told to and these idiots at Islam4UK should be marching on Parliament instead.

can you imagin it now a jock a taff and a sassenach all getting blindo that would be some recipe for disaster. the good thing is i am not 1 of those bigots who hates the other home nations of course i want england to win first thats only natural, but if we are out which is often the case thaen i will shout for the paddys, jocks taffs whoever . i work in scotland and wales a lot of the time, my best mate is a taff, and i have made some great friends up jockland this past 2 yrs, love the place , the taffy has called me a stupid english barsteward on many occasions and i have called him back but he will always be my best mate

hearts i must admit though it as got slightly easier this past 2 weeks , its only when you hear of another fatality that it hits home , i am not just jumping on the bandwagon now my lads over there, iam 52 yrs old nearly and was always brought up to respect wrong and right and did the same with my kids as my parents did with me , but i have always respected our armed forces, even as a young lad i would go with my dad to the november cenotaph to pay my respects and still do so to this day top respect to anyone who puts their live on the line i cant praise em enough

pox your laddie will be totally chilled out over there,he will be treated like a equal (in a active role he will get respect).

everyone mucks in in times off adversity and when he comes home you will see a big change in him,he will be a man because of the experiences being on active duty has shown him.

2 years from now he will have a stripe on his arm and will be bawling out rookies B-)

like you say hearts and we know ourselves he is probably better off than we know and its us doing the worrying, we know hes been trained for this and this is what he wanted but its only natural for us to worry you know the score as much as anyone
