Take her to a nice health spa in the country.

Celtic manor will be packed full of golf nutters cause its the Ryder cup.

Somewhere in the lake district maybe.

Wouldn't bother with the Celtic Manor.

Nice facilities at the "resort" , but you have to realise that it is in Newport.

Nowt any good here i March, mate.

Maybe the Cotswolds or ST. Ives or Padstow ( take her to Rick Stein's place)

is london 3 days away, where do you live ?

Take her to the bl00dy countryside man. North Yorks or Cumbria. Cheap as *****- stay in the most expensive place there & you'll still have pure change left for champers, posh meal etc

Try this: http://www.royalscotsman.com/web/rs/the_royal_scotsman_video.jsp

They do a three day, two night job. Britain's own orient express with decent food. Black tie and long dresses. Birds love it.

Why don't you try Coarse Lawn House, Coarse Lawn? Not far from Cheltenham. Good food, a nice place IMO. Reasonable cost as well.
