population was also a lot less too

8 times as many people now on earth than in 1750

the increase since 1999 has been bigger than the total population back then
Report BillKiller • December 17, 2009 8:15 AM GMT
Mass literacy and an increase in leisure led to a massive leap in technology. Before that, most people had neither the time nor the understanding to invent something complex then communicate the idea to others.

because for millions of years were stupid hominids roaming the earth... then the visitors from other planets came and helped us along...

joe rogan said it best " humans are stupid, if i left you alone in the woods with just an hatchet, how long before you could send me an email??"

heres the clip... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sf8R5ZlDiJg

cant see how pyramids or pc's can be from technology of this earth

people are no more intelligent now than they were in 20,000 BC

technological progress is an incremental process with people building on the knowledge of previous generations

Most inventions saved time. Time which made it possible for later generations to invent new stuff which saved even more time.

Hope this helps
