and he's a good interviewer of weasly politicians.
Don't really have a least favourite though the Mayo-Kermode double act was beginning to pall - think Mayo's quitting though, ain't he?

Favourite - Peter Allen and (whisper it) Nicky Campbell, when he's not wearing his learning so heavily and concentrationg on getting a good tune out of the callers to the phone in.
Least favourite - Derbyshire just seems totally inept on occasions, but Colin Murray is really beginning to get on my t1ts the smug pr1ck.

Like Allen, and pougatch but know he is not everybody's cup of tea.
Murray- seems just overkill for me, seems to be on all the time. Derbyshire grates with me not sure what it is maybe her trying to sound like she is everyone's pal and the fact that it often sounds she is talking about subjects she has no knowledge of music and many football topics probably not her fault though

Favourites - Peter Allen (probably an acquired taste as I suspect he is the least favourite of many), Rachel Burden and Shelagh Fogarty are also good. Most of the sports presenters are fine, especially the ones who know a bit about sports other than football.
Least favourite - would not miss Colin Murray or Stephen Nolan (nothing to do with their accent), but the worst (without the remotest shadow of doubt) is the simply dreadful Victoria Derbyshire. Does she have any knowledge about anything?
Not keen on that Garry Richardson (Scoop) bloke either, but he only does the Sunday morning sports programme.

Tommy I don't stay up after midnight usually, so I don't know Adebayo. He must be unspeakably dreadful if he is worse than the utterly useless Derbyshire.

Fenners, he never listens to what his guests are actually saying; talks over them at all times; and repeatedly stops the conversation by trying to get one of his lame puns into the conversation (which most of the guests have actually heard and 'got' but have embarrassedly tried to skip over. It's pitiful listening at times.

Peter Allen is very good and as much as I like his co-presenters,I prefered Jane Garvey. Victoria Darbyshire is one of my least favs. She is part of the tabloidisation of 5 in the morning.

Danny Baker is one of the greatest radio broadcasters, and his two-hour show every Saturday morning is brilliant listening.
As for the rest of them, I would never get bored of punching Colin Murray in the face. And Anita Anand is phenomenally bad. She was at Heathrow to interview the returning Olympians last year and I found myself hurling abuse at the radio when she was on.

I used to like listening to 5 live presenters but over the last few years there has been an increasingly irritating trend amongst all it's presenters to try and exude some form of 'personality cred' which in itself isn't a problem but they now all use their interviews with people to cajole, talk over, humiliate & bully them verbally to 'acclaim' this 'cred' to the degree that it sounds so cringinly embarrasing that I nearly always turn over or off.....the master of this is Peter Allen in the tea time slot .........his voice often increases in volume with the ferocity of his verbal tirade and belittling of his interviewee.....**y Campbell soon followed along with the nauseating women who sound so repugnant when trying to master this trend especially when they interview older men for whatever reason.
