I loved Midnight Run, but mainly for Charles Grodin. I cannot understand why he was not a huge star. He is funny, attractive and intelligent, a fatal combination. In this film he represented the perfect man, honest, courageous, nice and funny. I wish I could meet a man like he played in this film! :)

Actually I think Charles Grodin is a very good actor.
Annie if you ever get the chance try to see a film called The Hearbreak Kid, made in 1972 starring CG please do so.
I havent seen it for years but my guess is it is something you would enjoy.

Thanks, panglima. It is such a shame that he was not used in good films. I think Midnight Run was his only good film - it is amazing he was not used more after that.

BTW Annie thats the 1972 version not the 2007 remake which was awful.

Why do they constantly make remakes of perfect films? Why not just bring out the original?

I have just found it on Google video but the quality is poor, so I might leave it until I upgrade my computer or get a dvd. It would be a shame to see a good film under those conditions.

Annie - Grodin was also excellent in 'The Couch Trip'.

Preferred him in 'Clifford' tbh :D
