on and off its been quite heavy, melting and snowing again, now freezing and the roads are so dangerous. the A&E dept of Gateshead Queen Elizabeth hospital could be incredibly busy over the next 12 hours or so

Ground in S. Lanarkshire has had a frozen 12 inches of snow lying on it for 2 week, now. No grit left for roads. Council manager said to me yesterday that if there's anothe 2 inches, it'll cause mayhem as they won't be able to grit the main roads.
