fall back on the option of getting a BT engineer to come out and set it up at a cost of £90 and probably wouldn't see him for a few days,
Try 6 months. BT is the worst telephone company out that, and one of the most expensive. |

10 meg is ample unless you do loads of downloads. they will email you if you are getting to around 8 meg just to let you know and they charge you a £1 for every meg you go over. They will offer you the same deal next year for £12.

According to their letter
With Bt Total Broadband Option 1, there's a monthly usage guideline of 10GB each month |

I have never had a problem with BT.
The new Homehub is N wireless too for faster wireless speeds. I get a great 8 meg but it does drop to 3-4 at peak periods but still good enough for chatting on a forum and a bit of PS3 online gaming |

Too late for you Wur but hottest of the day on HUKD is a switch to O2. Works out at just over £1 per month for broadband (you obviously need a BT line on top of this).

The problem with all the third party ISPs is when there is a line breakdown.
That's when not being with BT becomes an issue. Some suppliers will make you jump through hoops to simply report a fault, including trying to**for yourself, what is clearly an external problem. Why? Because any line fault has to be fixed by BT engineers - for which BT will charge the third party. "You get what you pay for," is a pretty good adage. With BT you pay more but I wouldn't touch another ISP ever again. |
