Not as bad as St Patricks day. Suddenly everyone loves Guiness to be sure, meaning it takes 3 or 4 times as long to get served.

Going to a house party at my brother in laws. Will take a few tinnies, but basically it is free, free food aswell. Be a load of us there all know each other, should be a good crack, gonna play darts, archery table tennis, wii and get absolutey blotto. Much better than going down the pub spending about £50 odd quid queing for your pint plus a taxi and chavs fighting etc etc.

If my local tried to charge me to get in, considering I spend lots of cash in there throughout the year, I would not set foot in the place again.

What are they going to do remove the boards from the windows for one night only?. All the proper boozers are shut.

This my plan for today:

Go down to the local with my friends about 5pm or 6pm stay until about 10pm when it'll get really busy. Head back to my place where i've got food and drinks prepared. See in the new year at mine where anyone get a drink whenever they want from the fridge!

Perfect.

Hopefully i'll avoid the crush at the pub and the endless wait to get served.

Whatever you're up to, have a good one.

Hopefully the £10 charge in my local will keep out all the moaning cnuts that usually sit at the bar, pay for their drinks to the exact penny, know all the staff names, offer advice on any subject and think they can run a boozer better than the guv'nor. If they all stay at home and watch jools it's a right result. :D
Report DIE LINKE • December 31, 2009 12:21 PM GMT
if its really your local you wouldnt be asked to pay anyway as a regular, shirley?
Report cannnyman • December 31, 2009 12:32 PM GMT
I'll be here if anyone's in the area. Blue's brothers and Madness tribute acts, and an Indian Buffet. all for a fiver. Bargain.
