I thought the original film was excellent,although possibly tame by today's standards. Will have a look, but Eddie Izzard puts me off a bit.

It was OK, the book is a good read although not very believable as sci-fi things go.
3 hrs of my life and my licence fee wasted on that garbage. :(
Read the book at school, cant remember what I thought of it.
Watchable but constant continuity errors and overall crapness makes me regret thinking it would be any good.

So there was no conclusion. The triffids still roaming about, everyone on earth is living on the Isle Of Wright. I suspect a second series - Triffids 2 - This time the humans are slightly more intelligent.
Didnt the old black and white film have them all being killed by seawater, had to have a happy ending in those days.
