The big bang theory suggests that the world just happened by chance and that everything in the universe is in the right place !
If the earth was slightly closer or further away from the sun then life on earth couldn't exist , this fact alone suggests to me an intelligent designer at work . |

I don't favour the BB theory, an inflationary Universe smacks in the eye of what science is about. I still like Fred Hoyle's idea of a steady state but that doesn't answer where the Universe came from. Dark matter has a big part to play imo.

Evidence for non existence of God, massive , growing and almost complete. Been down the snake on 98 several times and got back up there, now on 99 waitng to shake a 1.

do you not think it a bit of a coincidence that people from different regions around the world all just happen to believe in "their" particular God? Depending on where they live and what they were told when growing up? All plainly obviously made up IN that region and believed by youngsters and spread among generations in that area.
My mum and dad tell me this is true, and I believe it. |

the fact you had it drummed into your head at an early age isn't evidence btw. also, the sin of greed. If you are gambling, you have enough to get by - so therefore you are trying to win to furnish your own greedy desires. What would your god say to that? |

Yes it was a lucky roll of the dice how we came into being but had the numbers stacked another way then some other life form would have dominated the planet. Dinosaurs ruled the World 100 million years ago but aren't here now. I think life is abundant in the Universe, I actually think there's life on Callisto (Moon of Jupiter) but as yet there's no evidence. Intelligent life is another matter. |

It is a question of faith, some have it in abundance such as CC others have little or none, my problem is when I get preached to as though the person with a strong faith has to convert those with little or none, people knocking at doors to get THEIR message across is imo nothing but a massive intrusion in other peoples lives.

charles- i didnt have any awful event happen in my life , i just asked myself the age old question what is the meaning of life ? a year or so ago and this lead me to the believe in god the creator .
