The politicians and security services/industry are yanking our chain for personal enrichment. They've done a thousand times more damage to our wallets/personal security/time/rights than Al Qaeda ever did. And we're idiots letting them.

I wonder if the security agencies have noticed that a large proportion of these bombers have many similarities, Perhaps much tighter restrictions should be applied to ethnic goups. For example, flights could be arranged so that all the passengers and crew were of similar religious beliefs and background. It wouldn't stop them all, but I am a European white agnostic and I would feel safer with people of a similar ilk. As Perseus mentioned, it's now been suggested that no-one could be allowed to leave their seat/access their cabin baggage for an hour before landing.
Surely if al-qaeda have a brainstorming session, it would probably be suggested to blow up the plane at least an hour & 10 minutes before landing? |

theres millions of white muslims, you have to search everybody.
if you had flights with any kind of religious barring then the tickets would probably cost 3 times more cos most flights would be half empty. And youd still have to search everybody on every flight because you dont know people arent lying about what religion they are. if someone is willing to blow themselves up theyre probably willing to put "non-religious" on an internet booking form. plus religious segregation would lead to yet more animosity in the world which wouldnt exactly help matters. its completely unviable. |
