some very serious questions needing answered here. Press reports say that the authorities have been aware of tihs individual for 2 years, yet it is reported that he almost blew up a plane. Possible exaggerations somwhere,or cohort activities maybe, but answers needed

I wonder if the security agencies have noticed that a large proportion of these bombers have many similarities, Perhaps much tighter restrictions should be applied to ethnic goups. For example, flights could be arranged so that all the passengers and crew were of similar religious beliefs and background. It wouldn't stop them all, but I am a European white agnostic and I would feel safer with people of a similar ilk. Just an opinion, of course.

My gf's father is a chemist who works in manufacturing advising on health and safety of powders and dusts (ie to avoid dust explosions).
I talked to him about airport security and he reckoned it would be easy for any half decent chemist to cause an explosion onboard a plane, even with the additional security at UK airports. |

It's working tho. Flying gonna be even more a pain now. Imagine the scene when people are told to sit for 1 whole hour before landing without access to hand luggage as is being suggested

Seriously it makes you wonder why they are making white OAP's take their shoes off though security on their way to their annual flight to Malaga.
