I have done the married bit and spending time with people i dont like.

I ignore it as much as I can. Its me and my wife - we dont do family-usually its just waiting for Boxing Day but I'm here and we get no racing on the Telly. I'll probably be really**ed off come Saturday

I also hate the 'fakeness' at this time of year. I've always had my own mind and been very stubborn about this kind of thing.

I was expected to drop everything and play happy families on Boxing Day. Turned it down for 2 reasons. One of them being the racing! Does that sound bad?

If I had kids, I'd be totally different about it.

I hate the commercial-ness of it etc

I have to dinner with my relatives 3 or 4 times a year, I have really thought about working with the homeless around Christmas. The love/response from a child when giving them a present is so lasting.
