Well they don't get sent to prison until they have about 50 previous, so they take getting caught as an occupational hazard.

2 hours down the nick, half an hour in court, back to Asda for that telly.

Used to buy loads of stuff from shoplifters in the betting shop. When you can get stuff for less than half price you can't turn it down, and it's better than them mugging old ladies for money.

What were they shoplifting? Betting slips and pencils?
Report SNOOCH • December 23, 2009 11:02 PM GMT
Big C, was it usually razor blades + batteries or leather gloves

Gillette Mach III blades were the most shoplifted item in the world apparently.

Anything you wished to order. Most came from a nearby Asda, the rest from clothing shops in Oxford Street area.

a girl who lives near me who had been done about 20 times for shop lifitng, who rarely got a sentence apart from car crimes walked into a currys store, she had (the balls) to walk up to a security guard with a lcd tv and tell him to lift it into the boot of her car because she couldn't handle the weight (let on), she thanked him and drove off, did she pay for it, not a chance,

Supermarkets have a new policy of taking civil action against lifters. They were fed up with the courts doing nothing they took matters into their own hands. If you caught stealing they will come after you later with bailiffs, interst charges, the lot.

Even better than shoplifting. I knew a girl who could just go in a shop and come out with twenty quid. She called it "grafting". Used to nick something then take it back for a refund. NOW that is class imo.

in the store where i worked we had a duty manager who, if he caught a young bloke nicking stuff, he just used to take them out the back and give them a good whack or two. one had a bike on which he broke all the spokes. the police sometimes take hours and then quite often don't prosecute and if they do the courts are very lenient. they never came back if they left with a fat lip or black eye.
