It's about two russian lads early teens growing up in war-time. It features them running away on a train.
Shot in black and white, has been on C4 and i'm pretty sure it's a Soviet film.
I think the title features the word Angel(s) and possibly wings.

Soemthing happens and they go on the run, crossing the Soviet Union in a goods wagon, that's when I feel asleep.
