Britain should give everyone in Fray Bentos the chance to have British citizenship,in gratitude for all the fantastic corned beef they have sent us over the decades.

It is a small price to pay for a few crazed Uruguayans to be running up and down the High Street, scything down anyone who looks like they might be a half-decent footballer.

Farmfoods are doing a £1.49 Xmas turkey microwave ready meal. Ideal for those who will spend Xmasday alone

Can you buy Christmas Crackers in singles?

If not at least a full box will last you until 2021.
Report alun2005 • December 16, 2009 10:54 PM GMT
bito - sure does my friend. The real meaning of Christmas, with or without Count Ted.

you going this year ?
Report alun2005 • December 16, 2009 11:02 PM GMT
At the moment no, but it's poss I might just turn up and pay over the odds outside for a ticket. There were some reasonable looking Hospitality prices available for a while but supposedly they are all sold out.

Tragically Lionel hasn't come through with my usual tickets this year. Something about 'having to take care of half a dozen Hollywood actresses this year'.

yep,the old a list harem booked him first :(
last year we went last 16 nite i think and paid 120 outside for 3 table seats, ended up right at the front by the oche. think we got lucky there
Report alun2005 • December 16, 2009 11:09 PM GMT
That was a very good bit of negotiation. You going this year?
Report a bitofinterest • December 16, 2009 11:13 PM GMT
we sat down opposite the bloke who sold them,he asked what we'd paid and sounded pi$$ed off, think the touts mugged him off. im trying to,i work over xmas but if we go it may be 29th or 30th
Report alun2005 • December 16, 2009 11:19 PM GMT
ahahaha sounds like you made a friend for life on that table !!

I dunno whether to go this year. At this time of year I tend to spend a lot of money supporting various noble charitable causes like Wendy Whiplash, the shareholders of Absolut Vodka, and the Old Widow Clicquot, so it may be a stretch. I'll let you know if I'm coming along though.
