Plenty of guitarists on here. If you stick with it and really want to learn it's easy enough. It may help if you have long fingers, like me, not short pork sausages, like my mate, who has tried loads of times and got nowhere. :^0

Do your homework and work on these 3 things and it's in the bag friend. You'll be up on stage picking out which blonde your going to be pounding later. Knowledge, skill, and desire. Knowledge allows us to know what to do, skill gives us the ability to know how to do it, and desire is the motivation to do it.

Have played for over 30 years and am pretty good although not as good as I was. There is no doubt that you peak at around 30 ish. And not just at guitar. I had a few lessons to get me going then ploughed through some Blus books from beginner to advanced and then just played. What is great nowadays is that you can download tabs fro nearly any song you want. They are variable in quality but do get you started on learning a new track. As Einstein ( I think ) said, if you practice or learn something for 15 minutes of every day, then within a year , you will be an expert. The key is to play every day. It's about teaching memory to your fingers if you see what I mean. And acoustic is harder to play than electric.
