Went back there recently and noticed a large South American population.
Mate. Everything changes - sometimes for the worse, sometimes for better. I've lived all over and occasionally revisit - just makes me realise I'm getting older! |

ah yes, but some things stay the same.
i remember popping into my old secondary school, one summers nite after work. i walked around the playing fields and the temporary portakabin changing rooms and class rooms were still there - 12 yrs after i left! my school used to be so strict on spelling, so it came as a great surprise and disappointment to me, that they managed to spell the word permanent, t e m p o r a r y. its strange how people grow more attached to buildings than people. the places become part of yr life. i still dont get how football clubs can leave their grounds, where they have usually played for all of their existence, with no objections. |
