Can anyone recommend a good Wii game.....

Not sure if it's any good on the Wii but you'll have to go some too beat Modern Warfare II, I image the littluns will love it too.

I would have thought Street Fighter would be more your sort of game Ken?

Son-in-law got the boxing one, and apparently my 6 year old grand-daughter is unbeaten against my daughter. :^0

My two youngest are 8, and they love Super Mario party 8 - you go round a board collecting stars and playing mini games. Load of nonsense really!

There haven't been many games worth buying for ages. The console has really dried up. The last game I got was a tennis one about a year ago. It sounds like you don't have Mario galaxy which although came out two years ago is by far the best wii game. It has quite a shallow learning curve too.

Oh fun to play together - Boom Blox is kinda fun. Is a bit like playign Jenga on a bigger scale.

Zelda "The Twilight Princess" NAP

Lots of puzzles and sword swinging fun. Good story line as well.

Lego Indiana Jones is supposed to be good fun and aimed squarely at that age group,whereas Zelda requires a bit of experience of those types of games.

Zelda could be used to encourage father and daughter co-operation.

lego star wars is good too

the new super mario game, back to 2d platforming like the old snes game super mario world. its not too hard and you can have up to 4 players playing the level. great fun IMO and one young ones could get used to. zelda is a great game but perhaps not for young children or playing together.

2smiggy - I read that the new mario game wasn't great for 2 players? (I also read a similar comment for mario galaxy).

mario gaalxy doesnt have a proper 2 player mode

See how far you can stand back and still get it in the pan.

i have played a few hours with a friend 2 player, its very good fun, you can get in each others way but if one dies, the other continues while the player who died will float back in a bubble. i have not bought much for the wii, but mario galaxy, paper mario, new super mario bros, mnario kart and zelda are all excellent. i have got more use from these games than most of my ps3 games (except the call of duty ones)
