according to Blair. NOT REally the point though is it? We went there on the (trumped up) basis that he did have WMD. They se.xed up the dossier to appeal to the common man. Still had no support from the people of the UK, still invaded Iraq and never found WMD and never apologised for taking us there against our will and then not finding WMD.

Tony Blair really is a c.unt of the highest order.

He had to start a war in order to get his current job trying to achieve peace in the very area he started a war in. Nice chap. Vote New Labour

1) You'd need to have been uncommonly stupid to believe it in the first place.

2) Just like his idol, M Thatcher.

WHAT A JERK!
Massive cost in lives and £sterling so they can have a 'free' election. I'd LOVE to see him in court.

Yeah. loads of dead servicemen as a result, fkin millions of dead iraqui civilians , and massive mega billions of pounds spent and we are now even less popular than before and a bigger target for the so called "extremists".

It takes a lot for me to be ashamed of my country, but I am really fekked off that he took us there. And lets not forget the tories were all for it too. I cannot defend it at all.

His idiocy knows no bounds. Did he want to remove every despotic leader in the world/ Is he God?
We never got involved in Mozambique, Angola, Burma or East Timor.
Its just the money and with that fool his TV image.
We do not need Spitting Image puppets for this clown.

The tories (quite reasonably ) believed a British PM when about to send Britian into war. Its the lie that was unjustifiable not the belief in a PM telling the truth at a time like that
By:
positively4thsteet
When: 12 Dec 09 15:05
surely the tories don't, and never did, believe what the PM says!!!
By:

When: 12 Dec 09 15:07
if the tories knew the truth then they should all be shot aswell
if they believed in the PM then only blair should be done for treason
then hung drawn quatered

an opinion poll before the invasion showed that 63 per cent
of the british population were opposed to war
in the absence of clear evidence of wmd
and of a second resolution.

the problem is the UK as a middling nation has to get in a gang to protect its interests - its like kids in a playground. since we're a generally anti-EU country and are generally there on sufferance the only alternative is to suck up to the school bully (ie USA), so when they come calling and say 'look Tony we need a bit of support for this Oil-grab mission' its hard to say no

i posted on and read many threads on here
leading up to the invasion and can assure you that
very few on here were deceived by stories of wmd
most wanted the inspectors to finish their work
before any invasion was onsidered

The Liberals came out of it well.

They were the only party that was against the invasion of Iraq.
By:
Sir Denis Eton-Hogg
When: 12 Dec 09 16:32
yes but it was easy for the liberals to take that position. Robin Cook and Claire Short didn't have it so easy

The majority of the British public were against the invasion until Blair started manipulating public opinion.

I wonder if Kelly was murdered on Blair's orders.
