If its pretty old, you may be able to get a decent low spec Motherboard, Chip and Fan for a few £££ that will be higher than your current processor. You can then butcher your old PC for hard drives, RAM, case etc.
I built my last PC using this method for less than £50 and I'm no PC expert. So long as you have internet access, you can find answers on what to do/**problems.
