Rubbish quiz this if the questionmaster doesn't know the answers.

Can you imagine Paxman saying 'I don't know' on University Challenge when one of those spotty kids gives an answer?

Clue 4 - The film title quite obviously changes a number for something intangible

Clue 5 - The film's most famous scene (aside from the previously mentioned murderous dwarf) involves levitation and cheap jewellery

None of the above I'm afraid.

PF there are several Subways in the west of scotland that are open (almost) round the clock.
Only way they can break the stranglehold of Macdonalds over the unhealthy masses up here

I promise that if everyone who has poted on this thread up till now
posts the word 'DWARF' on here before midnight
the name of the film will be revealed.

I think anyway. But the sci fi and 80's pop star doesn't seem to fit in anywhere.

5 words? Yes?
By:
Journeyman
When: 27 Nov 09 19:00
Don't give it away Shrew D lol ;)
I'm pretty sure you've got the right one.

But sure i never said it was a sci fi film.

Think about why the film has become as well known as it has recently...
that is where there is a connection with outer space

And you didn't say DWARF!!

Well you are a free agent. (as is Shrew D who has also worked it out)

You can put JUGADOR MEJOR out of his misery

or

You can make him suffer a bit longer and possibly force him to post the word DWARF

Entirely your call guys

Shrew D earlier you said '5 words, yes ?'.......and now you give us a clue with 6 words in it...make up ur fackin' mind.
By:
Shrew D
When: 27 Nov 09 21:49
5 words, yes. I'm probably completely wrong here because previous 'clues' don't add up!
By:
Shrew D
When: 27 Nov 09 23:49
Right.

My GUESS was American Pie 5 The Naked Mile.

As I say, the clues don't go with my answer so I'm probably wrong. Strawman, Sci Fi etc.

Girls name in title? No.

Would like to know the answer if I am wrong though! :)
By:
Journeyman
When: 28 Nov 09 01:25
No it's not that Shrew D. Sorry.
It's an older film and not quite as 'mainstream' as an American Pie film.

let's summarise the clues

My clues
Clue 1 - the film has a strong connection to something widely reported that happened this week.

Clue 2 - it has the name of a 1980s popstar in the title.

Clue 3 - It has a connection with Sci fi / Outer space

Clue 4 - The film title quite obviously changes a number for something intangible

Clue 5 - The film's most famous scene (aside from the previously mentioned murderous dwarf) involves levitation and cheap jewellery

Redbag's clue
Clue 6 - It has a girl's name in the title

---------------------------------------------------------
okay... here's another

Clue 7 - The film features dance sequences and weaponary that neither stabs or shoots

There is a dwarf that kicks the **** out of someone in mine as well. It also fitted in to your 'starts with an A and ends in an e.'
By:
Journeyman
When: 28 Nov 09 01:30
Okay but is the guy in your film who gets attacked by the dwarf actually made out of straw?
that's kind of crucial!!
By:
Journeyman
When: 28 Nov 09 01:33
Journeyman 27 Nov 00:41

It starts with the letter A, ends with the letter E, and is more than three words long.

I agree with you that its amazing that your film filled all these requirements!
AND featured a dwarf attack!!

By:
Journeyman
When: 28 Nov 09 01:42
No. there's enough clues there. Plus Redbag definitely knows it.

However... as soon as everybody (who posted on the thread on the 26th or 27th of November ) has posted the word DWARF
then either myself or Redbag will reveal the film.

Alternatively you might get him to rebal and blab the name. Bribe him with alcohol or something..
